The 4two cup cars at Autosport Live 2014

Smarts4you Racing enjoyed their successful debut in the Autosport Live action Arena at the NEC. The pint size pocket rockets continually wowed the crowds with their short wheel base, high octane antics! Each performance featured a fast and furious 6 lap oval sprint highlighting the superb handling characteristics of these quirky race cars.

The series owners James Palmer and Paul Bates were amongst those who took part, in the JC Motorhomes and Spacewise sponsored cars, alongside some of the4two cup regular drivers and a few drivers who having never been in a Smart Car were suitably impressed with how much fun it was to drive one.

There was a total of 14 races over the course of the weekend, co-ordinated perfectly by Barry Craig, father of Ashley Craig, who competes in the4two cup with the G&M Motor Company/ Smart car, which was involved in a friendly bumper to bumper incident (the only one of the weekend) with David Nash, one of the first drivers when the series started in 2011, in the Smart7Racing car. “What a fantastic 4 days of racing on a great well organized event. Hats off to Autosport for a great show.” Said local racer David Nash.

The little cars can accommodate all drivers, regardless of age, size and weight, their newest driver for the 2014 series Mark Bloomfield (Fudge) of Fudge Smart can vouch for this being one of the biggest drivers, in his left hand drive car, which has the smallest engine at 600cc compared to the 1litre Brabus engine.

Smarts4you Racing also had a stand at the show, displaying the 1st containers sponsored car, which generated a lot of positive interest particularly from people who had seen them in the Live action arena and went over for a closer look.

Several track days are being organised in the coming few weeks to accommodate those who, from the show, have expressed an interest in joining the4two cup this season. For further details email
